SCOTTISH TARTANS MUSEUM CURATOR INVESTED INTO GUILD OF TARTAN SCHOLARS Matthew Newsome was invested into the Guild of Tartan Scholars at the annual meeting of the Tartan Educational and Cultural Association. The Guild of Scholars is made up of some of the foremost authorities on tartan, such as Peter MacDonald, James Scarlett, Hugh Cheape, Bob Martin, Phil Smith, and others. NEW WEBSITE DEVOTED TO DISTRICT TARTANS The Scottish Tartans Museum has launched a new on line project - www.District-Tartans.com . This site is devoted entirely to district tartans. The main site is divided into two main sections. The first contains pictures and information about the district tartans of Scotland, Ireland, the rest of the British Isles, Europe, America, Canada, Australia, and beyond.
